Homework...

Standards
Homework is to be turned in at the beginning of class on it's due date. A student's notebook should be so organized that locating homework can be accomplished rapidly. Homework should be neat ,legible and complete. Use regulation notebook paper unless instructed otherwise. Work that is sloppy or otherwise not meeting the standards of a high school scholar will not be accepted and no credit shall be issued.

Absences
Students should be familiar with the rules for absences as outlined in the student handbook. If it appears there is going to be a long term medical absence parents are encourged to contact the school to obtain work. Parents are further encouraged to try and schedule doctor appointments and out of town trips at times that do not conflict with school hours. Time spent is school is valuable and difficult to make up. Students are responsible for obtaining work they have missed and attending test makeups.

Homework Environment
Homework is best accomplished if the student has a quiet, distraction free environment to complete their tasks. A certain amount of time should be set aside each evening for homework. If the student finishes early then independent reading is an appropriate task. If your child never seems to have any homework...please contact the school for clarification.
